Napoli is being forced to explore the winter transfer market following a significant setback to their midfield. Key player André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, the Cameroonian international, has been sidelined with a hamstring injury and is not expected to return until after February 16th.

With a crucial gap to fill, the Italian champions are reportedly considering a move for Udinese's promising 22-year-old midfielder, Arthur Atta. The Franco-Beninese central player has emerged as a potential target for Napoli, according to journalist Ekrem Konur. However, they are not alone in their admiration, as the young talent is also attracting interest from Serie A rivals Juventus and Lazio, as well as France's Stade Rennais.

Any club hoping to secure Atta's services will face a formidable challenge from his current club. Udinese, who have the player under contract until June 2029, are under no pressure to sell and are prepared to demand a premium fee. While public valuation sites estimate his worth at around €12 million, the club's own valuation is understood to be significantly higher, starting at €30 million and potentially rising to €40 million for a serious offer. This sizable gap in valuation sets the stage for a complex and potentially costly negotiation in the coming weeks.
