AS Vita Club: FIFA permanently lifts transfer ban after amicable agreement

The sanction that had been imposed on AS Vita Club has been officially lifted. FIFA has announced the closure of disciplinary proceedings and the permanent lifting of the ban on registering new players, following an agreement reached between the Congolese club and its creditor.

The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has brought an end to the disciplinary procedure targeting AS Vita Club. In a letter dated April 28, 2026, the world football governing body confirmed it had been informed of a settlement agreement between the club and its creditor, Sid Ahmed Ablla.

This agreement automatically results in the case being closed and the sanction being lifted permanently.

End of the transfer ban

Originally, AS Vita Club was hit with a ban on registering new players following a decision in the case. With the dispute now resolved, FIFA has clarified that this measure is now permanently lifted. The Congolese club therefore regains its full ability to operate in the transfer market.

A strong signal for the Congolese Federation

FIFA has also sent a request to the Congolese Football Association, asking it to immediately lift the sanction enforced at the national level.

This decision marks a major turning point for the Kinshasa-based club, which can now look forward to the rest of its season and its sporting ambitions without any administrative constraints in the transfer market.
