Benfica: José Mourinho's farewell message

While Real Madrid has yet to make his return official, José Mourinho bid farewell to Benfica fans this Wednesday.

José Mourinho is, without a doubt, the new head coach of Los Merengues. Real Madrid has triggered the Special One’s €15 million release clause, and Mourinho has just posted a farewell message to the Aguias faithful.

“I thank President Rui Costa for giving me the opportunity to work for Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Representing this club has been an honor and a privilege. My thanks also go to all the professionals at Benfica Campus, whose professionalism, dedication, and competence have been exemplary. To the players I had the pleasure of working with, I express my sincere gratitude and wish them success both personally and professionally. I leave convinced that I have built not just a fleeting connection, but an unbreakable bond: once my player, always my player.” he posted on his Instagram account.
