CAN 2025 - Senegal: Abdoulaye Fall delivers powerful words to the press

On Thursday, the Senegalese Football Federation spoke out to strongly condemn CAF's decision to strip Senegal of hosting rights for the 2025 AFCON. In a press conference, president Abdoulaye Fall adopted a highly assertive position.

The federation president’s address comes against a backdrop already marked by an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. "Faced with what amounts to the crudest and most unfair administrative hold-up in the history of our sport, the Senegalese Football Federation refuses to accept this outcome," he declared.

He added that Senegal "will not bow the knee" and intends to wage "a legal battle" before the CAS with a specialized team.
