Comex Election: These 5 Members Guaranteed a Seat at the CAF

It's a big day in Africa with the election of the executive committee of the Confederation of African Football (Comex).

The mandate of the new decision-makers in African football will continue until 2029.

5 candidates are guaranteed to be part of the new executive committee for running unopposed in their zones.

They are Ghanaian Kurt Okraku (WAFU B), Liberian Mustapha Raji (WAFU A), Tanzanian Wallace Karia (CECAFA), Algerian Sadi Walid (UNAF), and Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o (UNIFFAC).

Several thorny issues await the new executive committee of the governing body of African football, including the restructuring of interclub competitions (Champions League, Confederation Cup, and African Football League).

Moreover, the CAF needs to harmonize its calendar to avoid multiple postponements of various tournaments, including the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
