Borussia Dortmund is making its move for a promising new talent. According to Fabrizio Romano, the German club is currently leading the race to sign Liam Claude Kanté, the young defender from NK Lokomotiva Zagreb.

At just 19 years old, the Malian-born player has so far only featured at youth level, but his profile has already caught the eye of several top European clubs. Dortmund, staying true to its tradition of nurturing young talent, is aiming to get ahead of the competition.

However, the deal is far from straightforward. Bayern Munich is also closely monitoring the player, as are TSG Hoffenheim and RB Salzburg. Several Italian clubs are reportedly interested as well. Despite the fierce competition, Dortmund currently remains the frontrunner to secure the signature of the young defender, who is regarded as a high-potential prospect on the European stage.
