FC Midtjylland: Ousmane Diao sidelined for several months

A tough setback for Senegalese defensive rock Ousmane Diao. The 21-year-old fractured his foot while on vacation, an injury that required surgery and will force him to miss several months of competition.

The player's club, FC Midtjylland, released an update via an official statement on their website. Ousmane Diao suffered the injury during a training session in his home country, Senegal, while on holiday. According to the medical tests he underwent, he is dealing with a foot fracture.

"Forced to undergo surgery, he will miss pre-season and the first matches of the 2025-2026 campaign. He is expected to be fit again by September," the Danish club added.

The Mbacké native scored 7 goals and provided 2 assists in 43 appearances across all competitions last season.
