Fiston Mayele on fire: Gulf and African giants hot on his trail
The Congolese striker for Pyramids FC, Fiston Mayele (30 years old), has been turning heads this season with his outstanding performances, playing a crucial role in his club's historic first continental title in the CAF Champions League.
While no official offer has yet been submitted to the club, multiple sources confirm growing interest from Saudi, Qatari, and African clubs, raising the prospect of a summer transfer.
After scoring a decisive goal in the final against Mamelodi Sundowns, Mayele remains under contract with Pyramids for one more season.
Pyramids take action to secure Mayele's future
In response to mounting interest, the Pyramids management, according to Egyptian outlet Btolat, has begun talks to extend their striker's contract, aiming to secure the future of one of their key players.
Mayele will not feature in the Egypt Cup final against Zamalek, scheduled for tomorrow, as he has joined the DR Congo national team training camp in preparation for a friendly against Mali.
Notably, Fiston Mayele, nicknamed "the Leopard," is Pyramids' top scorer this season with 18 goals and 2 assists in 38 matches across all competitions.
