Nothing is going right for Napoli at the moment. After a crushing 6-2 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League, Antonio Conte appeared visibly frustrated during his press conference. True to his outspoken nature, the Italian coach spared no one and made it clear he wanted to set the record straight.

"Humility is needed, I’ve been telling you this for a while. Some people in Naples are lying, and this is a club that always needs to hear the truth," he declared in a firm tone,

calling out what he sees as a lack of clarity surrounding the club’s current situation.

Conte also pointed to mismanagement in the recent transfer window, which he believes is to blame for the current imbalance in the squad.

"With so many matches played and so many players signed... In my opinion, bringing in nine new players was too much. We weren’t balanced," he added,

lamenting a disrupted squad and a team chemistry that remains elusive.

Despite his anger, the former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss wanted to end on a note of hope.

"We have to build on what happened tonight to turn around a trend that hasn’t always impressed me... We’re going to try to recreate last year’s chemistry," he concluded,

well aware that Napoli must quickly rediscover the collective spirit that took them to the title last season.
