Ivorian league: ASEC Mimosas take sole lead at the top

The twenty-first round of the Ivorian Premier League wrapped up on Monday night with SOA FC clinching a 2-1 win over SOA. At the end of this phase, ASEC Mimosas have strengthened their grip on the top of the table.

In this twenty-first round of the Ivorian elite league, ASEC Mimosas secured a 1-0 victory against ES Agboville. This marks a second consecutive win for the Mimosas after their slip in round nineteen (0-2) against SOA.

The Ivorian giants took full advantage of San Pedro’s stumbles to open up a six-point lead at the summit.
This week, Petrcean San Pedro’s run of draws continued for the fifth match in a row (0-0) against Stella Club. That result took their tally to 37 points—just three ahead of third-placed MONA FC, who swept aside ISCA 3-0.

CO Korhogo, who were sitting fourth, lost 0-1 to Bouaké FC and are now level on points (31) with AFAD Plateau in fifth, after AFAD’s 2-1 win over US Tchologo.
