CAF Champions League 2026-2027 draw results

The draw for the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League 2026-2027 took place on Thursday, August 6, at the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt.

This new edition of the continent’s most prestigious club competition brings together 64 teams. Among them, three clubs have been granted a bye for the first preliminary round and will enter the competition directly in the second round.

The teams exempted from the first round are Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Espérance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), and RS Berkane (Morocco).

It’s worth noting that matches for the first preliminary round will be played from September 4 to 13, 2026, while the second preliminary round games are scheduled from October 16 to 25, 2026.
