Indeed, Vitor Roque may not have had his last word in Europe. After a disappointing spell at FC Barcelona, where he never managed to live up to the expectations placed upon him, the Brazilian striker has rediscovered his form at Palmeiras. And according to several Spanish media outlets, his performances in the Brazilian Série A have caught the eye of an English giant: Manchester United.

From flop to revelation, a surprising journey

Arriving at Barça in 2023 with the label of a future star, Vitor Roque never managed to find his place in a squad already packed with attacking talent. Loaned out to Real Betis, he also failed to impress there, scoring just four goals in twenty-two appearances. Sold last February to Palmeiras, the 20-year-old has taken advantage of his return home to rebuild himself. The result: 17 goals and 5 assists in 50 matches—a spectacular progression that has once again drawn attention from across Europe.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United are seriously considering making an offer in the region of €50 million to secure his services. A significant sum for a player many thought was lost to European football. The Red Devils, in search of attacking reinforcements, see in him an explosive and complete profile, capable of bringing depth to the Manchester attack.

As for Vitor Roque, he remains focused on his development. Should he sign in the Premier League, it would complete a remarkable turnaround: a young Brazilian talent who faded into obscurity in Catalonia... and is now ready to shine under the English spotlight.
