Frustration for Inter Miami in the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Despite Lionel Messi's 900th career goal, the Florida side exits the competition in the round of 16, defeated by Nashville SC.

The journey ends here for Messi and Inter Miami

The second leg actually started well for the Herons. In the 7th minute, Messi opened the scoring, set up by Sergio Reguilón. This historic goal could have provided the spark needed for qualification.

But Cristian Espinoza’s equalizer in the 74th minute shattered all hope. Taking advantage of defensive errors and a poor decision from the goalkeeper, Nashville SC secured the result that knocks Inter Miami out, despite their first-leg advantage.

Nashville SC move on to the quarter-finals to face Club América. For Inter Miami and Messi, it's time to digest this elimination and focus on future challenges.
