Montpellier: Othmane Maamma on the move?

As Montpellier prepares for life in Ligue 2, Othmane Maamma may not be part of the journey.

According to information from Sacha Tavolieri, a foreign club—whose identity remains unknown for now—has submitted an official offer to MHSC for the Moroccan U20 international right winger.

At 19 years old and under contract with Montpellier until June 2027, the club-trained youngster featured in 14 Ligue 1 matches this season, netting 2 goals and providing 1 assist. Hailing from Alès, Othmane Maamma is regarded as one of the most promising attacking prospects of his generation. A summer sale would allow the relegated Hérault club to replenish its coffers while giving its young talent the chance to shine elsewhere.
