Moroccan international Hamza Igamane's set to leave Rangers F.C. just days before the summer transfer window closes.

Lille closes in

According to Foot Mercato, Lille's made significant progress and is close to finalizing deal with Rangers for Igamane. The proposed transfer fee is around 10 million euro with contract extending until 2030.

Player insists on exit

Rangers coach Russell Martin told Sky Sports that Igamane refused to play as substitute against St Mirren after the club rejected transfer offer.

The forward reportedly cited injury but expressed his strong desire to join the French league which he views as key step in his career.

Lille’s strategy

Lille manager Bruno Genesio confirmed the need to strengthen the squad following win over Monaco signaling support for the Ighamman transfer.

Negotiations resumed in recent hours and new offer at Rangers offices has reportedly delighted the player bringing him closer to his preferred move.
