Real Madrid and Alvaro Arbeloa stumbled on Tuesday night against Bayern in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. The Spanish coach didn't hold back in criticizing the referee's performance.

Real Madrid will need to respond next week after losing the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Bayern (2-1) on Tuesday night. Of course, controversy was never far away in this match—and it was Alvaro Arbeloa who brought it to light. The Spanish tactician challenged the referee’s decision not to send off Jonathan Tah for a studs-up challenge on Kylian Mbappé. The incident occurred in the 71st minute.

"I don't understand how Tah wasn't sent off for his tackle on Mbappé, and I don't understand how Tchouaméni ended up with a yellow card—in the end, he's suspended, so now we have to find a solution for that," he told the press.
