Real Madrid: Kylian Mbappé does better than Cristiano Ronaldo
Kylian Mbappé

In just over a year, Kylian Mbappé has proven unstoppable at Real Madrid. He’s even outshining his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Yesterday, Tuesday, Kylian Mbappé bagged a brace in Real Madrid’s 4-1 victory over Levante in La Liga. The Frenchman delivered a stellar performance, now boasting 7 goals in 6 La Liga matches, and 9 goals in 7 games across all competitions. It’s an electrifying pace for the French international, who has started this season far stronger than the last.

According to Marca, his average of 1.28 goals per match surpasses Cristiano Ronaldo’s best season at the club. In the 2014-2015 season, the Portuguese legend scored 61 goals in 54 matches, averaging 1.12 goals per game. Now, the hardest part awaits Kylian Mbappé, who must try to maintain this blistering tempo. Last year, he found the net 44 times in 59 matches, averaging 0.74 goals per game—a significantly lower rate.
