Real Madrid: seven players on the chopping block ahead of Mourinho's arrival

Real Madrid is already plotting a massive shake-up behind the scenes, even before José Mourinho’s official arrival. According to the latest reports from Spain, several Madrid players are now being pushed toward the exit as part of the Portuguese manager’s future project.

Unlike other cases that remain unclear, two departures already seem set in stone: Dani Carvajal and David Alaba, both out of contract, are not expected to be offered extensions by the Madrid board. As for the rest, several players now find themselves truly on the chopping block: Andriy Lunin, Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, Fran García, Gonzalo García, Ferland Mendy, and even Federico Valverde—a name that has shocked many across Spain.

Still according to sources close to the Madrid club, a solution is also being sought for Ferland Mendy, who is currently sidelined with injury. Real Madrid appears to be laying the groundwork for a deep squad rebuild ahead of next season.
