Sevilla FC: Major fiasco for Sergio Ramos
Sergio Ramos will not be able to buy out Sevilla FC after a series of questionable moves by the former Real Madrid player.
Although an agreement had been reached on May 12 for a takeover estimated at 450 million euros, talks for the purchase of Sevilla FC reportedly collapsed spectacularly yesterday. This happened during a meeting held in the city.
According to sources close to El Pais, Sergio Ramos and his group of investors changed the initial terms of the deal. The player wanted to purchase only 30,000 shares instead of the originally planned 86,000, for about 100 million euros, before launching a capital increase of 120 million.
This proposal reportedly infuriated the main shareholders, who felt deceived after months of negotiations. As a result, Sevilla's management now consider the talks to be over.
