South African winger Antonio Van Wyk found the back of the net as his team, SV Ried, played to a 1-1 draw with LASK in the Austrian Bundesliga.

The former Stellenbosch FC attacker broke the deadlock in the 35th minute, before Moses Usor restored parity deep in stoppage time.

With the stalemate, Ried sit sixth with 27 points accumulated from 19 league outings - and trail log leaders Red Bull Salzburg with six points.

Meanwhile, Van Wyk has now taken his tally to two goals and four assists in 21 matches across all competitions this season.

The explosive star signed for Ried in September 2024 from Stellies, whom he lifted the inaugural Carling Knockout Cup with in December 2023.

Since joining the Austrian side, Van Wyk won the second-tier championship, which saw the team gain promotion to the topflight this season.

Notably, the Stellenbosch academy product is in the final six months of his contract, but the club retains a one-year option amid links to Mamelodi Sundowns back in December.

Van Wyk, alongside compatriot Yusuf Maart, who was named in the team of the week for matchday 19, return to league action when Ried visit WSG Tirol on Sunday, 22 February.
