Spain defeated Serbia 3-0 on Frida 28 March in international friendly as part of their preparations for FIFA World Cup 2026 set to take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Oyarzabal leads Spain to comfortable win

Spain national football team delivered a strong performance against Serbia national football team in one sided friendly encounter.

Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring in the 16 minute giving Spain early control of the match. The forward doubled his tally just before halftime finding the net again in 43rd minute to put his team firmly in command.

Spain maintained their dominance in the second half controlling possession and limiting Serbia’s attacking opportunities.

Munoz seals victory in second half

The third goal came in the 72nd minute through Victor Munoz who capped off a well-structured team move to seal a convincing victory.

The result reflects Spain’s steady build-up toward World Cup 2026 with the coaching staff using the international break to test combinations and maintain momentum.

Next test against Egypt in Barcelona

Spain will continue their preparations with another friendly match against Egypt national football team on 31 March in Barcelona.

The fixture offers a different challenge as Spain face African opposition in front of their home supporters.

On the same day, Serbia are set to face Saudi Arabia national football team as they look to bounce back from the defeat and refine their squad ahead of upcoming competitions.
