Ter Stegen puts FC Barcelona in a tough spot

For his first appearance in a Girona jersey, Marc-André ter Stegen made an immediate impact. Facing off against Getafe, the German goalkeeper secured a 1-1 draw with a decisive intervention in the dying seconds—a spectacular and closely watched debut.

Loaned out after a challenging spell away from FC Barcelona's plans, ter Stegen was quick to regain his rhythm in this demanding environment. While he could do nothing about the opening goal, his influence was clear in his distribution and control during the game's crucial moments. Most notably, his reflex save at the end sealed an overall convincing debut at Montilivi.

His coach Míchel was full of praise:

"Ter Stegen... Marc had a fantastic debut. [...] He uses both feet, he has an excellent vision of the game."
