The national football team of Morocco continues to make history following their incredible feat at the last World Cup, where they finished fourth in the competition.

For the past two years, the North Africans have consistently delivered outstanding performances, despite their early exit in the Round of 16 at the last Africa Cup of Nations.

12th in the world ranking

Morocco is expected to climb to 12th place in the FIFA monthly ranking, which will be published on Thursday, April 3rd.

According to simulation sites, Morocco will gain two places after securing consecutive victories against Niger and Tanzania during the last international break.

The Atlas Lions reached their highest position in history in 1998 when they were ranked 10th.

49 victories in the third decade

Morocco has increased their number of victories to 49 in the third decade of the century, placing them second in the ranking, behind reigning world champions Argentina, who have 50 victories.

The Atlas Lions have won their last 10 matches in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

They will aim to continue their historic streak in June when they face Benin and Tunisia.

14th in the ranking of the most valuable teams

Morocco is the 14th most valuable team in the world, according to the ranking by the specialized site TransferMarkt.

With a market value of 412.3 million euros, Morocco is the most valuable team in Africa.

Achraf Hakimi holds the highest market value in the Moroccan national team with 65 million euros, followed by Brahim Diaz with 45 million euros and Noussair Mazraoui with 32 million euros.
