Transfer market: An English giant rekindles interest in Victor Osimhen

The decision-makers at Old Trafford are still keeping a close eye on the ongoing saga involving the prolific Nigerian striker. Following the collapse of negotiations between Victor Osimhen and Saudi club Al-Hilal, several European powerhouses have decided to throw their hats back into the ring in the race to sign the player.

The Osimhen drama continues. The Napoli star forward, who had an exceptional season with Galatasaray, is in high demand this summer. Manchester United, whose interest was already well known, is not backing down despite the complexities of the transfer saga.

Manchester United still very keen on Victor Osimhen

Manchester United has never given up on the idea of adding the Nigerian striker to their squad. After talks with Al-Hilal broke down, despite a record offer, the Red Devils reopened discussions with Victor Osimhen's camp. The Premier League club believes his profile fits perfectly with their need for a proven No. 9 at Old Trafford. As a result, the team, now managed by Ruben Amorim, has renewed its efforts to finalize the deal.

Negotiations have resumed on clear terms: a salary of €12 million per year for the player and a €75 million fee, including bonuses, to be paid to Napoli. It's worth noting that back in May, the Red Devils made this very offer to the Italian club, which still owns Osimhen's rights. That proposal has now been put back on the table by Manchester United, who hope to soon welcome the 2023 African Ballon d'Or winner to Old Trafford.

Alongside Manchester United, Juventus Turin has also emerged as a serious contender for the 26-year-old striker, who racked up 33 goals and 8 assists in 37 matches across all competitions with Galatasaray. The Italian club, searching for a top-class marksman, sees Victor Osimhen as the ideal solution to reignite their attack. The Nigerian, who turned down Al-Hilal's offer, appears to favor a European challenge. Amid all this transfer frenzy, Galatasaray still hopes to convince Osimhen to stay after his spectacular season in Turkey.
