Transfer market: Verbal agreement brings two Al-Raed players closer to Zamalek!
Zamalek SC is on the verge of securing two major reinforcements for next season, eyeing a duo from Saudi club Al-Raed.
According to the daily Asharq Al-Awsat, Moroccan striker Karim El Berkaoui, 29, has reached an agreement with the Cairo club's management to join the squad at the end of the season on a free transfer.
The same source states that the player has already officially signed with Zamalek and will bolster the “White Knights” squad starting from the 2025-2026 season.

The report also adds that Zamalek’s management, headed by Hussein Labib, has reached an agreement with their Saudi counterparts to terminate the contract of Algerian Yousri Bouzok, paving the way for his return to Paradou AC.
Zamalek has thus convinced both Arab players to wear its colors, taking advantage of their mutual desire to leave Al-Raed, whose relegation to the Saudi second division now appears imminent. The club is currently nine points adrift of safety.
It’s worth noting that Al-Raed will face Al-Hilal, second in the Saudi Pro League standings, this Wednesday. A defeat would make their survival hopes even slimmer.
