Gift Orban is continuing his impressive start to the season with Amedspor. The Nigerian striker found the net on Sunday against Beşiktaş on the sixth matchday of the Süper Lig, taking his league tally to seven goals.

Starting against the Istanbul club, Orban scored in the 13th minute. This latest goal extends a particularly productive run and sees him join Mohamed Salah at the top of the scoring charts.

Four consecutive matches with a goal

Orban has now scored at least once in four consecutive league matches. He scored twice against Kasımpaşa, found the net against Trabzonspor, then hit a hat-trick on the previous matchday against Başakşehir. He struck again on Sunday against Beşiktaş.

Before this match, the former Olympique Lyonnais striker had already scored six goals in five Süper Lig matches. His goal against Beşiktaş therefore takes his tally to seven goals in six appearances.

Having joined Amedspor this summer from Hoffenheim, Orban has quickly established himself among the Turkish league’s leading scorers. His efficiency has now allowed him to move to the top of the scoring charts.

Orban joins Salah at the top

With seven goals, the Nigerian now shares first place with Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian striker scored a hat-trick on Saturday in Trabzonspor’s 4-0 victory over Galatasaray, also taking his tally to seven goals in six matches.

Orban and Salah currently occupy the top two places in the Süper Lig scoring charts. For the Nigerian, this performance primarily confirms a start to the season marked by remarkable attacking consistency.
