Born in France, the new AC Milan recruit is still eligible to don the Leopards' jerseys according to FIFA regulations.

Recently, he admitted his ambition to join the French U21 team which will soon compete in the Euro in Slovakia.

It would already be a good step to join the U21, establish myself, and see where it takes me. Being in Milan gives me more visibility, but I also need to play. But the French U21 team is definitely on my mind.

That said, it's not out of the question for him to change plans, especially as the Congolese team has made great strides towards qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.

Now leading their group, the two-time African champions will host Senegal on September 8 in a crucial match in the race for a World Cup spot.
