Carlo Ancelotti has tipped Paris Saint Germain to win Champions League this season as the competition heads into the semi final stage with four heavyweights still in contention.

The Italian coach now preparing to lead Brazil at World Cup 2026 believes the French side have the edge over their rivals.

Semi-final lineup set for decisive battles

The Champions League has reached its final stretch, with Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain securing their places in the semi finals.

PSG, the defending champions, will face Bayern Munich in what many observers consider a “final before the final” while Atletico Madrid take on Arsenal in the other tie.

Ancelotti predicts PSG triumph

Ancelotti who has previously managed both PSG & Bayern Munich, did not hesitate when asked about the eventual winner.

“Paris Saint Germain will win the Champions League again... In the semi final against Bayern Munich, I expect a Paris victory” he said in an interview with Brazilian outlet O Globo.

The Italian, a multiple Champions League winner with AC Milan and Real Madrid, spoke with the authority of a coach who knows what it takes to succeed at the highest level.

Experience meets ambition

Ancelotti’s connection to both semi finalists adds weight to his view. Having coached PSG & Bayern Munich, he is familiar with the demands and pressures surrounding both clubs.

Despite Bayern’s pedigree and experience, he believes PSG have the momentum needed to reach the final and lift the trophy.

As the Champions League approaches its climax, all eyes will be on whether PSG can justify that confidence and secure another European title.
