The German club Wolfsburg has expressed a strong interest in Algerian midfielder Hicham Boudaoui, who is currently under contract with the French side Nice, during this summer transfer window.

Franco-Algerian journalist Nabil Djellit reported in an article published by "L’Équipe" that Wolfsburg has officially inquired about Boudaoui's situation, with a view to submitting a formal transfer offer.

At 25 years old, Boudaoui has been playing for Nice since 2019, following his move from Algerian club Paradou. To date, he has made 175 appearances for Nice, tallying 13 goals and 13 assists. His versatility in midfield makes him a valuable asset for Wolfsburg, who are aiming to bolster their squad.

Meanwhile, Nice's management has set the asking price for the Algerian international at €30 million—a figure that could complicate negotiations if a suitable offer does not arrive.

After enjoying a period of rest following his involvement with the Algerian national team during the international break, Boudaoui returned to training with Nice on Monday. He is now preparing with his club for the upcoming 2025-2026 season, which will kick off with a friendly against Ajaccio.
