With their debut in this 2026 World Cup, Morocco managed to set a record against Brazil.

Morocco and Brazil finished with a draw (1-1). This result suits both teams in Group C. But during the match, the Atlas Lions broke a rather unusual record.

In the second half, after several substitutions, Morocco became the first team in World Cup history to field 11 players born abroad at the same time. Among them were four Franco-Moroccans: Issa Diop, Neil El Aynaoui, Ayyoub Bouaddi, and Samir El Mourabet.
