The Brazilian head coach has managed to get on the bad side of some Seleção fans by relegating Endrick to the role of luxury substitute. The young star had to wait until the 64th minute to make his much-anticipated debut in this 2026 World Cup against Haiti. When asked about his coach’s decisions, Endrick accepted his fate without complaint.

"Ancelotti... I spent a year with him at Real Madrid. He knows what I do when I step onto the pitch: I give everything for the team. He's a great coach, he keeps his head on straight. He won't do what's best for Endrick or for the fans, he'll do what's best for the team. I'm grateful to have him in my life.
