2026 World Cup – Côte d'Ivoire: Emerse Faé sends a warning to Germany

In his recent interview with FlashScore, Emerse Faé didn't hold back, delivering a stern warning to Germany.

One thing is clear: Emerse Faé is dreaming big for the 2026 World Cup this summer in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. However, the Ivorians will have to get past Germany in their second group stage match.

The Ivory Coast head coach made it clear that the Elephants won't abandon their identity, even against Julian Nagelsmann's Mannschaft. "I don't want the team to drop back and play too cautiously. That's not my philosophy. I'm not afraid of any opponent, including Germany. I want us to play with confidence, to go forward and try to score, rather than just defend and rely on counterattacks," he declared.

As a reminder, Côte d'Ivoire will face France on June 4 in their final warm-up match ahead of the much-anticipated World Cup.
