2026 World Cup: Lamine Yamal campaigns for Neymar Jr.

The question of whether or not Neymar will play for Brazil at the 2026 World Cup has been a hot topic in the football world for days. This Monday, Lamine Yamal also weighed in on the matter.

When asked about the former FC Barcelona legend, Lamine Yamal said he would love to see one of his childhood idols at the 2026 World Cup.

“I saw him play many times. Neymar is a player who marked my entire childhood. He's my idol, and I will be eternally grateful to him. He's the kind of player you buy a ticket for. I want to thank him for everything he has contributed to football. I hope he can participate in the World Cup”, Yamal said on the eve of the Champions League clash against Atlético.
