Cameroon have taken the lead. At the Roumdé-Adja Stadium in Garoua, the Indomitable Lions lead Comoros 1-0 at half-time in this Group G match in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Nyengue finds the breakthrough

In a controlled first half, it was David Pagou's men who found the breakthrough. In the 39th minute, David Roi Nyengue opened the scoring from a Danny Damaso assist to put Cameroon on the right track.

Top spot at stake

This goal gets Cameroon off to a good start, but to take sole possession of top spot in Group G, they will need to score a second. Earlier in the day, Namibia beat the Central African Republic 1-0. On the other side, the Coelacanths have not said their last word and will try to cause a surprise after the break, before hosting Namibia on matchday two of the Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifiers.
