All teammates at Al Ahli, Édouard Mendy, Riyad Mahrez, and Franck Kessié will soon be rivals at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. The Senegalese goalkeeper is already making his prediction.

Just three months remain before the kick-off of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Édouard Mendy has decided to get the banter started early. The Senegal shot-stopper, now at Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia, delivered a playful moment aimed squarely at his club teammates Riyad Mahrez and Franck Kessié.

He had fun teasing his two teammates, joking about the fate awaiting their national teams this December. “Let me break it down for you: Riyad will be the first to return here, then Franck will follow. I’m not saying we’ll win, but I’ll definitely be the last one back here.” laughed the Lion of Teranga, making sure the cameraman was getting it all on record.

Algeria, Ivory Coast, and Morocco have been warned.
