The bad news is confirmed for Lamine Yamal and FC Barcelona.

After being forced off due to injury against Celta Vigo (1-0) on Wednesday in La Liga, Lamine Yamal has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury in his left leg. In a statement this Thursday, FC Barcelona announced that the Catalan prodigy will not play again for his club this season.

Spain, however, can breathe a sigh of relief. "Yamal is expected to be available for the 2026 World Cup," the Barcelona club specified.
