FC Barcelona continues its search for a versatile defender ahead of the upcoming transfer window. According to multiple sources, the Catalan club is closely monitoring Marco Palestra, one of Serie A's most promising young talents.

The young player, currently on loan at Cagliari Calcio from Atalanta BC, has been making waves with his maturity and ability to cover multiple positions on the flanks. His qualities have not gone unnoticed by several European heavyweights, including Juventus, Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Arsenal, who are also showing interest.

Valued at around €30 million, the defender could, however, cost up to €50 million depending on Atalanta's demands. Barça, for its part, continues to monitor his development very closely and has yet to make an official offer.
