Bayern: Vincent Kompany breaks his silence on the Jamal Musiala case

Speaking to the press this Friday, Vincent Kompany addressed the situation surrounding Jamal Musiala. The young German star suffered two fainting spells within three days during Bayern Munich's pre-season friendlies.

After the first incident against RB Leipzig last Saturday, the attacking midfielder collapsed again on Tuesday against Heidenheim, just minutes after coming on. The images sparked widespread concern, but Vincent Kompany assured that the situation has been known and closely monitored internally for some time.

"This is the first time the information has become public. So I understand that there are a lot of questions. But the initial shock happened a long time ago. That's why we aren't talking much about it at the moment. We've been preparing for this for quite a while," the Bayern manager revealed.

While Kompany did not disclose the exact nature of Musiala's issue, he emphasized the robust medical support system surrounding his player: "We have received a lot more information since then and made decisions with the help of top experts. Jamal has everyone's support. Internally, we've reached a point where the topic is hardly discussed anymore. Our procedures are in place and we're very optimistic."

Musiala will even be rested for the German Supercup against Borussia Dortmund this Saturday (8:30 p.m.).
