CAN 2025: “Assad”, the official mascot unveiled

The CAF and the Local Organising Committee have unveiled the official mascot for CAN 2025: “ASSAD”.

Inspired by the Atlas Lion, Assad embodies strength, pride, and unity. His name, meaning “lion” in Arabic, perfectly captures the spirit of the competition. Present in stadiums, fan zones, and public events, Assad will be one of the faces of the tournament. He will also help bring young people closer to football through a variety of educational and entertaining activities.

With Assad, CAN 2025 promises an even more vibrant and unifying atmosphere for fans across the continent. The tournament kicks off on December 21.
