CDM 2026 / Algeria, Argentina…: Group J standings after matchday two

By overturning Jordan, Algeria has earned itself a precious lifeline and is right back in the race for a spot in the round of 16. With just one matchday left, suspense is at its peak in Group J.

Thanks to their dramatic comeback win over Jordan (2-1), Algeria has reignited its hopes of qualifying for the round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup. The Fennecs also benefit from Argentina's victory against Austria (2-0), which allows them to catch up with the Austrians in the standings.
