After the heavy defeat against Argentina (3-0), Vladimir Petkovic refuses to give in to panic. The Greens’ head coach is said to have already made several key decisions ahead of the crucial clash with Jordan, with changes expected in both the starting eleven and the tactical setup.

Algeria cannot afford to dwell on the past. The day after suffering a heavy 0-3 loss to Argentina, Vladimir Petkovic immediately took charge. According to Compétition, the Bosnian manager addressed his players right after the final whistle in the Kansas City Stadium locker room. Rather than criticizing them, he chose to protect his squad, reminding them they had just faced the reigning world champions.

That message was reiterated the very next day in Lawrence, before the training session at Rock Chalk Park. Petkovic is also believed to have already made several bold calls for the upcoming match against Jordan on June 23 in San Francisco. Riyad Mahrez, who was left on the bench against Argentina to the dismay of many observers, is set to reclaim his starting spot on the right flank. Ramiz Zerrouki is also expected to return to the midfield at the expense of Boudaoui, one of the main casualties of the previous match.

However, the adjustments may not stop there. Again according to Compétition, the coaching staff is considering a change in formation, with a return to a 3-4-3 setup that would provide more density in midfield and greater defensive stability. As a result, the Fennecs are set to present a radically different face against Jordan.
