Espérance de Tunis: Yassine Meriah returns

Espérance de Tunis is about to welcome back its captain Yassine Meriah as the 2024-2025 season draws to a close.

This return comes at a perfect time as the Tunisian club is gearing up for the final stretch of the local championship.

The 31-year-old defender has been cleared to resume group training after completing his reconditioning program.

He is expected to return to competition very soon and will therefore be competitive for the Club World Cup, the final phase of which will take place in the United States starting June 14, 2025.

As a reminder, the Club World Cup draw placed the "blood and gold" in Group D with Flamengo (BRA), Chelsea (ENG), and Club León (MEX).

Yassine Meriah's record with Espérance

Since joining the club in 2023, the Tunisian international has participated in 90 matches across all competitions, tallying 15 goals and 2 assists.
