FC Barcelona are continuing their spectacular start to the season. The Blaugrana outclassed Racing Santander (7-2) at Camp Nou, securing a sixth win in six La Liga matches. With 18 points from 18, Hansi Flick's side are maintaining their perfect record. The evening was not entirely ideal, however, as Joan Garcia had to be substituted at half-time.

Joan Garcia: a knee concern to monitor

The Spanish goalkeeper had slipped shortly before half-time on an area of the pitch damaged by the rain. According to the initial reports published by Sport, his replacement by Wojciech Szczęsny was primarily a precautionary measure. Hansi Flick then mentioned discomfort in the knee and confirmed that the staff would have to wait for further tests before making a precise diagnosis.

At this stage, the possibility of a serious injury appears to have been ruled out. Barça are even hoping to have their first-choice goalkeeper back for the trip to Seville on Saturday. Caution is nevertheless still required, as Joan Garcia had already undergone surgery on his left meniscus last season. His condition will therefore be the main point to monitor over the coming hours.

An attack firing on all cylinders

Offensively, Barça's numbers are impressive. In the league, the team have scored five goals against Elche, two against Athletic Club, five against Rayo Vallecano, five against Valencia, four against Levante and then seven against Santander. That amounts to 28 goals in just six matches, an average of 4.67 goals per game.

Raphinha was the chief architect of the latest goal-fest with a hat-trick, including two penalties. João Cancelo, Gabriel Jesus and Lamine Yamal also scored, while Juanpe Villalibre put the ball into his own net. This variety confirms that the danger can come from almost anywhere on the pitch.

Adding the 5-1 win over Feyenoord in the Champions League, Barcelona have scored 33 goals in seven official matches, an average of 4.71 goals per game.
