Trabzonspor forward Mohamed Salah scored his first hat-trick in Turkish football as his side cruised to an emphatic 4-0 victory over rivals Galatasaray on Saturday.

The Egyptian international delivered a decisive individual performance in the derby, having a direct hand in all four goals for the hosts.

Salah opened the scoring inside four minutes before adding his second just before the interval in the 44th minute.

He completed his treble with an 80th minute strike to seal the 4-0 scoreline, having also provided an assist earlier in the contest.

Milestone seventh career hat-trick

Saturday's treble marks the seventh hat-trick of Salah’s senior club career.

His first arrived in Serie A with AS Roma against Bologna. During his eight seasons at Liverpool, he recorded five trebles across all competitions including a four-goal display against Watford, alongside league hat-tricks against Bournemouth, Leeds United and Manchester United.

His most famous treble came in European competition against Rangers in 2022 where he scored the fastest hat-trick in UEFA Champions League history taking just six minutes and 12 seconds in a 7-1 away victory.

The display against Galatasaray represents his first treble in Turkish football.
