Complete dominance at Papara Park

Salah set the tone inside four minutes, opening the scoring with a clinical early strike.

He turned provider in the 39th minute, setting up Noah Saviolo for Trabzonspor's second goal before striking again just before the interval in the 44th minute to send the hosts into half-time with a commanding 3-0 cushion.

The 34 year old completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute capping off a display in which he had a direct hand in all four of his team's goals against the defending champions.

Opta record: a historic home start

Beyond the scoreline, the performance secured an unprecedented milestone in Turkish football history. According to data provided by Opta, Salah became the first foreign player to score in each of his first three home matches in the Süper Lig since the 2000 /01 season.

The record-breaking run at Papara Park began with a brace against Istanbul Başakşehir, followed by a goal against Gençlerbirliği and culminated in Saturday's treble against Galatasaray.

In total, the Egyptian forward has registered six goals in his first three home appearances on the Black Sea coast.

Overtaking Osimhen in the Golden Boot race

The hat-trick lifts Salah’s domestic tally to seven goals, placing him clear at the top of the Süper Lig scoring charts.

In doing so, he took full advantage of Victor Osimhen’s absence, with the Nigerian striker sidelined for the derby through injury. The surge also pushed Salah ahead of Amed SF forward Gift Orban, establishing the Egyptian as the division's leading marksman in the early weeks of the campaign.
