Mahrez close to contract extension with Al-Ahli: details revealed!

Saudi sources are reporting new developments regarding the future of Algerian star Riyad Mahrez with Al-Ahli Jeddah, as the club is looking to extend his contract for an additional season.

Al-Ahli considering a one-year extension for Mahrez

According to Saudi journalist Khaled bin Abdulaziz, via his official account on (X), the "Al-Raqi" club is considering renewing the contract of their Algerian international for another season.

Abdulaziz posted:

"Exclusive | #AlAhli club wants to extend Riyad Mahrez's contract for an additional season."

Mahrez joined Al-Ahli Jeddah in the summer of 2023 from Manchester City, signing a deal until 2027 for €35 million, plus €5 million in bonuses.

Since his arrival, the 34-year-old has delivered outstanding performances: 29 goals and 38 assists in 82 matches across all competitions.

He also led Al-Ahli to the AFC Champions League title, becoming the first player in history to win both the UEFA Champions League and the AFC Champions League.
