Manchester City: major revelations on Pep Guardiola's departure
The documentary "A Beautiful Obsession" on Prime Video focuses on Pep Guardiola's final years at Manchester City.
The Spanish tactician is shown in a rarely seen light. Between tensions with senior players, the relentless pressure for results, and personal upheavals, the Catalan manager reveals an unusual vulnerability. After a defeat in Turin against Juventus, Pep Guardiola told his squad that he had just divorced, explaining how deeply this period had affected his state of mind. Weeks earlier, following a confrontation with Kyle Walker in the Anfield dressing room, Guardiola was also filmed in tears: "If I’m a problem, tell me."
In the documentary, Guardiola is deeply affected not only by sporting challenges but also by his personal situation, to the extent that those around him asked the players to show more understanding toward their manager. His assistant Manel Estiarte specifically revealed that he explained to the dressing room: "You see a human being. He’s going through a divorce."

"I don’t even know what I’m going to do. It’s going to be hard to come back. That’s how I feel today. I need to process a lot of things that have happened in my personal life. I need to refocus by dedicating myself to other activities. I need to sit down and disconnect for a while. That’s one of my main goals." he said.
