Undisputed hero of the final matchday of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Mohamed Amoura delivered victory for Algeria against Uganda (2-1) with a last-gasp brace from the penalty spot. The VfL Wolfsburg striker once again showcased his clinical finishing and composure on the big stage, cementing his status as a key figure in Algeria's attack.

After the match, he made sure to send a powerful message to the fans:

"I want to thank all the supporters who were behind us. Hamdoullah, we made them happy. We'll try to make them even happier by winning a trophy, Inch’Allah."
