No contact between Espérance and Mehdi Meshkhash, Raja's defender!
An official from the Raja Club Athletic management has categorically denied the rumors circulating in recent days suggesting that negotiations are underway between Espérance Sportive de Tunis and the Moroccan club for the transfer of 21-year-old defender Mehdi Meshkhash.
Tunisian and Moroccan social media pages had claimed that the "Bab Souika" club had started talks to sign the young player during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Raja denies any contact between EST and Meshkhash!
The "WinWin" website, quoting a source close to Raja, stated that the club has not received any offers from the oldest Tunisian club regarding their young defender. It was also emphasized that President Abdellah Birouaine has no plans to part ways with the team's key players.
The same official said: "Mehdi is still under contract with Raja. We have seen the rumors spreading on social media, but we have no idea where they're coming from."
He added: "What is certain is that the club's management has not received any written request from Espérance Sportive de Tunis to sign Mehdi, who is steadily progressing and gradually establishing himself as one of the team's pillars."
He concluded: "At the moment, President Abdellah Birouaine has no intention of selling his important players. His priority is to let go of those who haven't delivered this season. The club will need reinforcements, and in this context, it's unlikely that Mehdi will be transferred."
