Omar Marmoush fined over his luxury cars!
A surprising off-the-pitch setback has landed Egyptian striker Omar Marmoush in hot water with the English legal system.
Egyptian man fined over his luxury car
As reported by Matchday Central, the 27-year-old forward — currently on the books at Tottenham, though his registration rights belong to Manchester City — has been convicted by a British court for driving an uninsured vehicle. The car is McLaren sports car valued at £250,000.
The case was heard at Teesside Magistrates' Court after the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) brought proceedings against the player. The root of the problem traced back to June 17, when Marmoush failed to settle a fixed penalty notice issued to him.
The judge is handling the case
When the matter reached the judge, the outcome was a financial one: the Egyptian international was ordered to hand over a £220 fine, cover £100 in court costs, and pay an additional £88 victim surcharge.
Court records reveal that DVLA officials had tried to reach the footballer at his previous address in Manchester, but their letters went unanswered. With no response forthcoming, the case was escalated to the courts.
For context, the 27-year-old Egypt star has been under Manchester City's ownership since January 2025, before making a season-long loan move to Tottenham at the end of August 2026. Transfermarkt, a well-regarded source for player valuations, currently pegs his market value at €50 million.
